Greetings Friends,
That's right folks, it's finally here! The Westside Community Market
officially opens its 2006 season this coming Saturday, April 22nd.
Same great place - Hillfarms D.O.T. parking lot at Segoe Rd. and
Sheboygan Ave., same great vendors (and lots of new ones, too).

more details coming later in the week.

Subject: [WCM-Friends] Westside Community Market - Opening Day - TOMORROW!
Hello again all,
We are excited to share a partial list of some of the great vendors
and products you will find at the Westside Community Market on
Saturday. Again this year we will have the free raffle drawing - but
we've made it even better. Winners will receive a $5 certificate,
good at any vendor's stand - your choice. So come and enjoy a free
hot cup of coffee provided by Java Bay Coffee Bar while shopping and
catching up with neighbors. We are thrilled to get this thing started!
Black Earth Valley Produce - a good supply of oyster mushrooms and a
limited supply of shitake mushrooms, as well as lettuce mix,
spinach ,water cress, some asparagus
Green's Pleasant Springs Orchard - apple cider
Indian Trail Greenhouses - a veritable smorgasbord of garden plants
(many in bloom), pond plants and house plants from 3" pots up to
large hanging baskets. Here's just a sampling of what we're planning
to bring at present: Clivia, Dutch Dahlias, Hen & Chicks, Lamium,
Apple Mint, Variegated Peppermint, Purple Sage, Heliotrope, Ivies,
Bananas, Cannas, Elephant Ears, Horsetail Grass, Fiber Optic Grass,
Geraniums, Spikes and Vinca Vine, as well as all sorts of other plants.
JenEhr Farm - fresh cut spinach, arugula, roasting chickens and
frozen strawberries and paste tomatoes
Madison SourDough Company - a wonderful variety of breads and
pastries - and free cookies for the kids!
Natalie Ortega - pansies, hanging baskets and perennials
Ruegsegger Farms - Grass Fed Beef, Pork,Veal, Lamb, Chicken, Turkey,
Eggs, Watercress
(Hopefuls): Asparagus & Morel Mushrooms
Sunnyhill Acres - Maple Syrup
Tomato Mountain - roasted tomato soup, bloody mary mix, tomatillo
salsa, a limited supply of preserves (All of our products are made
with certified organic (MOSA) produce grown on our farm) and possibly
some bedding plants.

Subject: [WCM-Friends] Westside Community Market Update - Saturday,
April 29th
Hi all,
More great vendors, more great products at the Westside Community
Market this week.
The big news: We will have TOMATOES, CUCUMBERS and ASPARAGUS along
with a great assortment of plants, meat, bakery, cheese, eggs, etc.
Did you know we have a dairy vendor this year? That's right, Blue
Marble Dairy - You just gotta try their yogurt!
And Tomato Mt. - they have wonderful salsa, tomato soup and bloody
mary mix.
Cory Murphy is back this Saturday - you all know the great taste and
quality of his cheese curds, cottage cheese, meats, baked goods, etc.
Dreamfarm will be there this week with their wonderful goatcheese,
great on pretzels, crackers or even straight up.
Eric from Jordandal Farm will have a cooler full of eggs and many,
many selections of meat - we tried their chorizo brats last weekend -
fantastic.
Did you get a chance to try the oyster mushrooms from Black Earth
Valley Produce? Sooooooo good!
How about a piece of cheesecake for dessert - stop and see Lisa at
Wisconsin Cheesecakery - you won't regret it.

Subject: [WCM-Friends] Westside Community Market - Place and Time
Hi again; sorry to bother you, but, we've had a few questions about
location -
On SATURDAYS, we are located in the Hillfarms D.O.T. parking lot at
the corner of Segoe Road and Sheboygan Avenue. The north side of the
parking lot is on University Avenue. We will be there from 7a.m. -
2p.m.
NEW THIS YEAR: Westside Community Market on WEDNESDAYS!
Location: Westgate Mall rear parking lot at the corner of Segoe Road
and Odana Road (the parking lot behind Dunham Sports, past Klinkes
Cleaners).
Same time as Saturdays: 7a.m. - 2p.m.
