Blown Away

The wind may have tried, but we stayed firmly rooted in our happy place during week three of the market season last Saturday.

Early shoppers were treated to the first asparagus from Yang Family Produce (pictured). While they didn't last long, it was a good sign of things to come.

We rejoiced to see the return of Kopke's Greenhouse, with their broad selection of decorative annual, vegetable starts and baskets.

Fresh greens were in abundance with sightings of Swiss chard, arugula, mustard greens, mixed greens and some especially delicious looking spinach from Black Earth Valley.

While we all love to see more produce and greenery return, there was plenty to take in from some of our other food vendors. Dreamfarm delighted with their weekly Fresh Chèvre flavor of garlic mustard pesto, highlighting a subtle yet wonderful garlic flavor from this oft-demonized plant.

Steppin' Out Foods draws the eye with the stunning color, not to mention the flavor, of their Mango Mama Jam (pictured). They'll be gone next weekend, so this Saturday is a great opportunity to load up for Mother's Day gifts and beyond.

Sometimes the best gifts are the ones we give ourselves. For all you gluten-free fans out there, check out one of our new 2024 vendors, Noellie's Deli, offering up a variety of scrumptious and all gluten-free baked goods, including these very snackable mini-breads (pictured).

Now that May is here, we'll be stepping up our game starting this Saturday. We'll expand into the third row this weekend as we welcome six more vendors to the lineup. We'll also be hosting the first kids activities of the year thanks to University Houses Preschool and their preschool science event they'll be hosting at market.

Onto week four, with more offerings, more fun and more to come!

See you at market!

As a reminder to everyone, dogs are prohibited within the market area, though we welcome service animals at all times.
