National Farmers Market Week

We're excited to celebrate National Farmers Market Week with everyone this weekend with a packed lineup of 45 vendors, our peak so far this season.

Back in action this August, we've welcomed Atoms to Apples & Ten Eyck Orchard, with some great early season apples (pictured). This Saturday we'll be ramping up for the return of Pleasant Springs Orchard as well with some fresh melons.

New to the market this year, Gram & Gramp's Ever-bearing Strawberries have joined us with yummy ripe ever-bearing strawberries (pictured), a treat that can be enjoyed later in the summer than the typical June crop.

Don's Produce will return this Saturday as well, with a great selection of fresh tomatoes in seemingly every color and size available.

Another bright light this Saturday will be the return of Phil Friedl, our "Cactus Guy" with cacti and succulents, perfect for the home, office or as gifts to the plant lovers in your life.

For all you die hard bakery lovers, fear not as Madison Sourdough plans to return to market this Saturday after two weeks away, ready to satisfy all your croissant, baguette and miche needs.

While we're still several weeks away from their cute pumpkin bouquets, Country Bloomer's Greenhouse has been delighting with their artfully arranged flowers, including beautiful lisianthus (pictured).

So join us Saturday to load up on all your favorites, try something new, catch up with your farmers and peruse the new "Dane County Farmers' Market Cookbook: Local Foods, Global Flavors" now available for purchase at the Info Tent. Get inspired to whip up something special to celebrate this year's National Farmers Market Week. All the recipes are built around market finds and sourced from the great vendors who make the Madison farmers market scene a national treasure.

See you at the market!
