Refresh, Relax & Back to Work
The endless buzz of lawn mowers, whistles heard from neighborhood parks and the chirping of birds well before the alarm goes off. Like it or not, spring is pushing forward at full speed.
We saw and talked to many folks last weekend who were eager to get their seedlings in the ground from their stop at the Kopke's Greenhouse booth or one of our other plant vendors.
All praise due to you hard-working folks, but may we suggest taking a break now and again to enjoy the little things.
Refresh yourself with a yummy Lilac Lemonade kombucha from Rude Brew Kombucha, one of many great flavors offered.
For those who can't be stopped from making their own, grab a bunch of fresh mint (pictured) from Shoua Lee Vang and give this Simple Mint Lemonade recipe a try.
Make it a quick lunch with beef sticks (pictured) from Murphy Farms, paired with some great white cheddar from B. Kurt Dairy.
Alternatively, a fresh baguette from Madison Sourdough topped with one of the flavored or plain Brebis (pictured) from Landmark Creamery makes a quick and delicious meal.
Just like that your thirst is quenched, appetite satiated and you're ready to get back out there, planting, mowing or chasing kids around the park. Spring is a beautiful time. We're thankful for it and for the chance to take a break from the work each Saturday morning and enjoy the market.
See you at market!

“Any new resident to Madison will quickly discover they've landed in a city full of farmers markets,” says Ben Zimmerman from the Westside Community Market. “From the iconic Dane County Farmers Market, held weekly around the state capitol, to the neighborhood markets held throughout the city, there's hardly a day of the week in the summer without the chance to buy the best in fresh produce, locally
raised meats, yummy Wisconsin cheeses and more.”
