Fresh lettuce mix from new vendor Westridge Organic Farm

Week One Wonders (WOW!)

Call it good luck or great timing, but our opening day of the 2025 market was about as perfect as it gets. The pink moon set as the tents went up and the sunrise came to welcome back vendor and customer alike.

We had 30 vendors out for opening, plus a great crowd to get us right back in the swing of market season. From old favorites to new finds, we saw many a market tote filling up with all sorts of fresh goodies.

Seeing the Madison Sourdough baguettes sticking out of tops of those totes was just as nice as seeing the steam rise from fresh cups of Alice Good coffee.

Folks loaded up on what they'd missed this winter, like yummy Honey Bee Bakery pastries (pictured) and the new crop of maple syrup from Open Kettle Farms (pictured).

Bags and bags of cheese curds flew off the table at Murphy Farms, almost as fast as their tasty cottage cheese.

West Star Organics was out with some great early season seedlings, like their intoxicating scented geraniums (pictured). Others looking for great patio options found them at both Domann's Plants and Natalie's Garden & Greenhouse.

Our favorites, the Market Ramblers, returned to play for market goers, and had quite the crowd of families, with kids shaking shakers and drawing up a storm with sidewalk chalk.

Heading into week two, we'll be happy to welcome Blue Moon Community Farm back, along with Steppin' Out Foods. We'll keep on growing as we move towards May and we're excited to see warmer days coming in the forecast.

The season only gets better from here, but for now we're happy to see all your lovely faces again as we embrace the return of market season.

See you at the market!

FoodShare/EBT Service Temporarily Down

Unfortunately our FoodShare equipment is out of commission for a few weeks, meaning we will be unable to issue new FoodShare Dollars at this time. We're hoping to be back up in running by mid-May and before the Double Dollars program returns in June. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause. Any unspent dollars from the previous season can still be used with our vendors.
